BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The man accused of sexually assaulting a woman on Valentine's Day in east Bakersfield appeared in court Thursday.
Lucious Carter was arrested on allegations of felony rape by force, false imprisonment and inflicting corporal injury and two misdemeanor charges.
The victim said Carter tied her hands and feet together with a telephone cord, raped her and held her against her will for 12 hours at a home on Sumner Street.
During her captivity, the victim says Carter strangled, sexually assaulted and raped her.
Carter pleaded not guilty.
