Man killed in Westside Parkway rollover crash

UPDATE: The Kern County coroner's office on Friday, Aug. 11, identified this driver as 71-year-old William Walker Sinclair.


BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) -- The eastbound Westside Parkway was closed Thursday morning between Coffee and Calloway after a rollover crash.

Police Sgt. Don Cegielski said the driver, a man, died.

Cegielski said it doesn't appear that the man was driving more than 5 mph over the limit, based on witness accounts.

The pickup left the roadway and hit a freeway sign.
