Young man gets 11 years in prison for deadly DUI crash

A man was sentenced Thursday to 11 years in prison for a deadly 2016 crash.

Police said Richard Prosser, 18 at the time, was driving drunk when he flipped his truck on Noriega Road between Old Farm and Allen Road. His passenger, 19-year-old Krystul Hazelwood, was killed.

Prosser pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter and DUI. Charges of murder and gross vehicular manslaughter were dismissed as part of the plea.
