Recalled Ikea dresser reportedly kills 8th child
WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) —
An Ikea dresser recalled by the company has taken the life of an eighth child, according to the family's lawyer.
ABC News reported Thursday that "two-year-old Jozef Dudek of California was killed when a three-drawer Ikea dresser tipped over and crushed him during naptime."
The attorney, Daniel Mann, says the incident occurred in May.
This is the eighth child killed by a piece of Ikea furniture recalled in June 2016, according to child safety advocates.
The 29 million dressers and chests involved were subject to tipping over if not properly anchored to the wall.
