WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) -- The shooting in Las Vegas on Sunday has struck a chord with Americans nationwide.

Thousands of people have stood in line for hours to donate blood. In the video above, crowds gathered in Las Vegas were captured on social media the day after the massacre.

A call for blood has been reported across other cities around the country including:

- Charleston, WV

- Lexington, KY

- Salt Lake City, UT

- Traverse City, MI

- Boca Raton, FL

- Rochester, NY

- Medford, OR

- Reno, NV

This is just a small representation of some of the places that are giving back. Fifty-nine people were killed and over 500 were injured after Stephen Paddock open fire into a crowd attending the Route 91 Music Festival in Las Vegas.

Police still do not have a motive from the shooter as to why he committed these crimes.
