Fans donated a record number of stuffed toys Saturday night during the Bakersfield Condors' annual Teddy Bear Toss.

The fans tossed the toys onto the ice when the Condors scored their first goal against the San Antonio Rampage. The Condors won 7-3.

This year’s Teddy Bear Toss total: an all-time high of 10,549.

That bested the previous single-year record of around 8,000 and brought the running total to more than 121,000.

The stuffed toys are collected by the United Way of Kern County and then distributed to kids via more than 50 nonprofits.
