The Bakersfield Condors have set a new team win streak by winning their 12th straight in a 7-1 win over the San Diego Gulls on Super Hero Night Saturday.

More than 6,000 people were on hand to witness the historic win.

Defensemen William Lagesson led the way for the Condors with a goal and two assists.

Goalie Shane Starrett picked up his 10th straight win.

The Condors wasted little time scoring as they got on the board two minutes into the game when Tyler Benson beat Gulls goalie Jeff Glass for his 8th of the season.

In the second period, the Condors scored five goals, including two short-handed goals, to push the lead to 6-0.

Gulls right winger Corey Tropp broke up the shutout bid with a little over a minute left to play in the game.

With the win, the Condors are now in first place in the Pacific Division.

The Condors will go for their 13th straight win next Wednesday when they host the Stockton Heat.
