I joined the Eyewitness News team in November 2018 and am so thrilled to call Bakersfield my new home!
As a Michigan native, I’m very excited to leave the cold snowy winters behind.
Before KBAK/KBFX, I was an anchor/reporter at WTOL in Toledo, Ohio, where I received my first Emmy award.
During my two years there, I wore many hats as a reporter, morning news anchor and breaking news anchor.
I believe my undergraduate education at the University of Michigan and my master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University have played a large part in propelling me forward to where I am now.
As a proud daughter of Lebanese immigrants, I grew up visiting Lebanon, speaking Arabic in the home and eating a lot of Mediterranean food. My travels have been extensive, visiting many corners of the world, and I feel lucky to have spent an extended time in Argentina for a study abroad program, where I also picked up Spanish.
My goal is to eventually visit every country!
When I’m not on air, you will find me going for a run with my dog, Miley, or cooking up a vegetarian storm in the kitchen.
I feel honored to be in a position to keep the community informed on important issues while making them smile and laugh while starting their mornings.
