I’m very excited to be a part of the Eyewitness News team and am thrilled to be back in beautiful California!
Originally from the Chicago area, I’ve been fortunate to have lived in several places around the world. It’s these experiences that helped to spark my passion for journalism. I love learning about new people and their cultures, as well as hearing their individual stories.
I graduated from the University of St Andrews in the UK with my undergraduate degree in International Relations and then went on to pursue my master’s degree in journalism from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School.
Previously, I’ve interned at NBC 5 in Chicago, CBS 5/3TV in Phoenix, as well as the nationally syndicated show RightThisMinute, among others. I’ve also gotten the opportunity to report from Israel and the Palestinian territories as a junior foreign correspondent.
I enjoy telling stories with compelling characters who have the ability to transcend barriers and reach a plethora of people. I believe that it’s stories like these that are at the core of journalism. Besides human interest pieces, I also have experience reporting on business and money stories in the past.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, going to the beach, trying new restaurants, spending time with my family and friends and anything to do with animals.
I can’t wait to connect with the community here in Kern County, and I thank you for allowing me to come into your homes for a few minutes every day. Feel free to stop and say hi if you see me around town, and please send any story ideas or tips my way at firstname.lastname@example.org or by connecting with me through Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.
