The cover for the July 2 issue of TIME Magazine has quickly captured people's attention.

The new cover depicts President Donald Trump looking down at the young crying immigrant girl whose image went viral after she was photographed while a U.S. border agent patted down her mother.

Time magazine later issued a correction for their story after they misstated what happened to the little girl on the cover.

"Correction: The original version of this story misstated what happened to the girl in the photo after she taken from the scene. The girl was not carried away screaming by U.S. Border Patrol agents; her mother picked her up and the two were taken away together," Times said in a statement.

The cover debuted Thursday, a day after Trump signed an executive order to end the policy of separating undocumented immigrants from their children at the border.

"We're going to keep families together and the border is going to be just as tough as it's been," Trump said at a rally Wednesday night.

Public outcry over the policy continues to grow, with rallies and protests being held throughout the country.
