Strong southerly winds will persist through about 11 AM, until a cold front from the west passes. Expect power outages and some property damage.

A rain shadow is currently in progress over the South Valley due to the strong south winds. Rain is likely as the front passes later this morning, but the highest winds will occur just prior to frontal passage.

Heavier rain is expected later with a second part of this system late afternoon and evening.
